2008 Sarin Group Gala Awards Night
Alicia had a number of speaking engagements during her year as Ambassador, with a busy year ahead assisting this year's quest entrants with their schedules of fundraising.
Alicia's advice to entrants is to "make the most of their year ahead as this is a once in a lifetime opportunity", "it's about the experiences and what you learn from this".
Alicia feels that she has grown in knowledge and maturity and developed some great skills along the way including public speaking, organisational skills, working to deadlines and working with money. 
She has also found a lot of satisfaction in helping her charity, Compass's Moving On program with her fundraising efforts. She has also made many new friends along the way.
Alicia has been to Loxton for the Mardi Gras where she participated in the parade and other events, she appeared on the television program Getaway. Alicia has speaking engagements with local community groups and assisted with Sashing Night for the 2009 entrants.
