5:30pm – Tunarama Official Opening

All welcome to the opening of the 2018 Port Lincoln Community Bank Tunarama Festival!

Held in the Spencer Gulf King Prawn’s Eyre Square, the Official Opening features Welcome To Country and performances from local and South Australian artists, plus AUS Foods Skydiving demonstration

6:00pm Best Of Eyre Dinner

This food and wine event will be held in the Spencer Gulf King Prawn’s Eyre Square Marquee and offers food and wine lovers a fantastic taste of the Eyre Peninsula’s best local produce prepared by our great local chefs and complimented by our award winning local wines. This year’s event is on Thursday 26th January 2018. Tickets available via SA Tickets

7:00am – 10:00am City of Port Lincoln Citizens Breakfast

The City of Port Lincoln and 765-5CC host the annual Australia Day Breakfast at the Tunarama Festival. Be served a hearty breakfast by Councillors as prepared by Dragons Abreast Port Lincoln volunteers. This free breakfast includes entertainment by the Ethnic Cowboys, Port Lincoln City Band, Port Lincoln Singers and Sing Australia.

10:00am Australia Day Celebration Ceremony

Join us in celebrating this tradition of welcoming new citizens and honoring local citizens for their achievements this past year. Includes Flag Raising Ceremony presentations of the Australia Day Citizen Award, Australia Day Young Citizen Award and The Community Event of the Year Award.

12pm – Port Lincoln Community Bank Street Procession

One of the highlights of the Festival and an event not to miss – The Port Lincoln community go to great lengths decorating themselves and their floats to showcase the many local business and community groups that flourish here. It is always colourful and fun, and often very professional as entrants vie for best float. This year will include some floats from  community arts, sporting clubs and local business groups. Streets are closed between 11.30 and 1.30, so find that special spot, settle down and enjoy the entertainment; and kids: watch out for lollies and water guns! Parade starts at Mortlock Tce at 12noon reaches the Civic Centre at 1.00pm, and winds up at the Port Lincoln Primary School at 1:00pm

2pm – Tuna Toss Finals

Proudly Supported by Port Lincoln Community Bank

One of the highlights of the Festival and an event not to miss  – the World Championship Tuna Toss finds competitors traveling from around the globe to see who can throw these 10Kg fish the farthest. With big cash rewards and a unique trophy, this is one item for anyone’s bucket list. Held in the Tuna Toss arena. Entries are free but strictly limited places so get your registrations in early at the registration booth on the foreshore.

6:00pm – Magic 89.9 Tunarama Ambassador Quest Gala Awards

See the announcement and crowning of the 2018 Tunarama Ambassador at Tunarama’s ‘night of nights’. Featuring a Black and White theme, it is set to be a THRILLER!

7:00pm ‘GRAZE’ Woolworths Artisan Cheese & Charcuterie Grazing Station

Graze. gourmet brings to Eyre Square a lavish spread with an indulgent selection of sweet, savoury, and pickled textures that will keep you satisfied well into the night.

Sharp crumbly wedges of mouth-watering aged cheddar, soft creamy rounds of camembert, melt in your mouth prosciutto, oozing sticky honeycomb, lusciously sweet figs, and hand torn pieces of fresh bread, create a visual contrasting feast and flavour dimension.

Indulge on this feast with a VIP view to the fireworks – what more could one ask for!

Beverages will be available for purchase on the night. Bookings Essential.

9:00pm Soul, Gypsy & BOHO Blues 

ticketed event – ABSTIA Festival Stage

This year Tunarama brings to the foreshore a new event SOUL GYPSY & BOHO Blues. We love bean bags, cushions and throw’s which sets the scene for a night to remember – sitting on the foreshore, under a festoon of lights listening to cool tunes and funky vibes from artists that LOVE their craft. Features Jack Herz,  Kashaguava, Kelly Menhennet, Lara & The Organics.

Tickets $30.00 per person VIP Tickets $70.00 per person includes access to GRAZE the Woolworths Artesan Cheese & Charcuterie Grazing Station before the Fireworks.

Please note that the Festival Stage will only be accessible for Ticket Holders. NO ACCESS for general public

9:30pm – Qantaslink Fireworks

Port Lincoln comes alive as festival goers hit the beach to watch the incredible Qantaslink Fireworks display. The sky  near the town jetty becomes a canvas for the fantastic fireworks display. Simply spectacular and explosive fun for all ages!

Come with the Mad Hatter & Alice on a magical journey into the curious world of wonderland

Meet all your favorite characters for an interactive fun day filled with comedy, dance, and theatrical performance.

Play Croquet with the Queen of Hearts, Groove with Cheshire Cat, Drink Tea with Mad Hatter……Is that a rabbit hole??

The Wonderland Garden will have face painters, large interactive games and is must see for all the family.
