Site Manager - 2022 Tunarama Festival

Port Lincoln Tunarama Inc (PLTI) Committee is looking  for a Site Manager to oversee all 3 outdoor Festival sites for our 60th anniversary, 2022 Festival. This is the first time we have looked outside of  our volunteer base for this role but with 3 disparate sites operating for 2022, it’s time to find someone who can knock this out of the park.

 

You will be a seasoned professional. You will know exactly what we’re looking for because it’s something you’ve done before. You understand that technical experience and first-rate communication skills are the key to this success. You can handle pretty much anything from fencing, power, rubbish removal, questions from site-holders, the Council and the show rides operators as well as the local artists and local kids who just want to talk. You will have patience with everyone and represent the Tunarama Festival accordingly.

 

Our Festival President and Coordinator have done all this before, so you’re not alone. Together, we’ll forge a dream team to make this event prosper under COVID-Safe conditions.

 

If you don’t already live in the Lower EP region, you’ll need to re-locate to Port Lincoln from early Jan for 3 weeks. You’ll be available to our Festival Coordinator from early December – on the phone is fine – to help bring these plans together. You’ll be paid a flat fee of $2,500.00 + gst. If you need to relocate to the region for this role, we can also discuss an extra payment towards your accommodation costs. You’ll need to provide your own transport and find your own accommodation. We are not in a position to pay PD's.

 

Like most events, Tunarama is coming out of a very difficult period with little to no income for the past 18 months. The PLTI Committee takes great pride in holding this annual event, the largest festival in regional South Australia. Our festival has a strong family-focus and rich local history which attracts visitors from far & wide, swelling the population of the town well beyond 20,000. The festival includes the world-famous Tuna Toss, dinners, show rides and community markets along with a raft of participation events for all ages across 2 days & 3 nights.

*This position is offered in good faith under the current pandemic-related laws and regulations. Should the festival be cancelled at short notice due to Health SA, pandemic-related legislation, the position will immediately become null & void...as will the rest of our jobs and our Festival.
