The 2020 Tunarama Ambassador Quest Entrants have received their sponsors sashes and given their maiden speeches at a Sashing Event held on Sunday 4th August at The Line and Label Restaurant at Peter Teakle Winery in Port Lincoln.

Applications for the 2020 Tunarama Ambassador Quest are NOW OPEN!

The Tunarama Ambassador Quest is a platform for personal development,  where entrants can experience an increase in personal growth and confidence, while making a meaningful and positive impact in the community. Throughout the quest each entrant raises funds for their chosen charitiy or not-for-profit organisation based within the Eyre Peninsula of South Australia.

One entrant will be chosen as the Ambassador to represent the Tunarama Festival and Port Lincoln at various events over the following year.

AUSTRALIAN BROTHERS VanderAa bring their Indie Tribal Roots music to the 2019 Tunarama Festival, live and free on the mainstage from 6pm Sunday 27th January.

Hot off a world tour and the Sold Out Falls Festival, VanderAa’s sound blends a mix of drum, djembe, beatboxing, didgeridoo, guitar, looping and vocals. You can feel the intention they breath into their words, the energy they move through their instruments and the connection they create with their audience.

Categories will be as follows:

Miss Fairy 3-5yrs girls
Mr Cool 3-5 yrs boys
Miss Princess 6-9 yrs girls
Mr Sports 6-9 yrs boys
Miss Jr Tunarama 10-12 yrs girls
Mr Jr Tunarama 10-12 yrs boys

The event will be held on Friday 25th January 2019 at 11am. Register on the day at the Information Booth. Registrations open from 8am and close 30 minutes before the event or when places filled.

Port Lincoln’s Community Bank, Bendigo Bank has committed to a 3 year sponsorship deal with Port Lincoln Tunarama Inc worth $105,000, showing its ongoing support for the Tunarama Festival.

The sponsorship funding will provide $35,000 per year over the next three years and Bendigo Bank will be the naming rights sponsor of the Festival which will be known as the Bendigo Bank Tunarama Festival. This is an important contribution to the Festival that costs on average $280,000 to put on each year. The 2018 Tunarama Festival brought approximately 3 million dollars into the region for the 3-day event, including $1,234,910 in Port Lincoln and $1,280,100 to the Eyre Peninsula. This confirms that the economic benefit alone is substantial in stimulating business, growth, and employment opportunities across a broad spectrum of accommodation facilities, food and beverage outlets, tourism-based operators and many other affiliated business, suppliers, and contractors.
