Chelsea Pearce

My name is Chelsea Pearce and I was born and bred right here in Port Lincoln.

I have always loved to be hands on and involved in any way I can.

Being only 19 I still have so much life to live, but that doesn’t mean I haven’t taken every opportunity that has arisen.

Throughout high school I was voted SRC, junior house captain and miss. Most likely to be famous. I was involved in numerous productions including the pantomime and the senior dance and drama.

In 2008 I joined YAC and my understanding and passion to make a difference grew leading me to winning Miss. Teen Tunarama 2009.

Come year 12 – because I didn’t think the year was going to be hard enough – I also undertook my certificate 3 in fitness and ending the year with the Peter Treloar award.

On completion of my schooling I decided to further myself and undertook my certificate 4 in fitness.

Undecided on what to study next I decided to take the plunge and enter the quest.

Growing up in Port Lincoln I got the chance to look up to and admire the entrants throughout the years and from a young age set myself a goal to be and entrant and have the same affect on another youth.

I entered the quest to make a difference; a difference in our community. To help the youth and become a role model that life is what you make it, not what you’ve been given.

Which is why I chose West Coast youth and Community Support as my charity.

WCYCS supports young people under 25 and their families on the EP in their transition to adulthood and independence by providing a range of services to meet their needs.

WCYCS will benefit from the money raised by offering a varse range of youth programs and Youthoria will also benefit with a new sound system.

Lastly, I would like to thank my sponsor Port Lincoln Kia without the support of a sponsor, its not possible to make the quest a reality – I am very grateful to Mark & James Benford for stepping up as my major sponsor and making my dream a reality.

I look forward to representing Kia and WCYS in the coming year.
