Holly-Elise Pervan

I am Holly-Elise Pervan currently 22 years old and have been living in the Eyre Peninsula region for 17 years.

I would like to start by thanking my Sponsor, Cummins District Community bank for giving me this opportunity and the experience of a life time. I am very excited to be a part of the Tunarama Ambassador Quest 2019 and have been shown great support already from the Community and wider region.

I was born and spent my early child hood years in Kalgoorlie WA and from there moved with my family over here to the Eyre Peninsula and got to grow up in such a great community, living in Port Lincoln then to Cummins

My Schooling was based at Cummins Area School where I completed my year 12 studies along with a School based trainee ship in 2013. I completed this trainee ship with the Cummins District Community Bank as of where I was able to gain full time employment in 2014 and have been there since.

As part of working for a community bank I have been lucky to see the effect of how we contribute back into the community. Bendigo Bank is very proud of all who we sponsor. One of the non for profit organisations we have been able to support is, Mentally Fit EP with all three local branches contributing over $100,000.

As you may have guessed I have chosen to help fundraise for Mentally Fit EP on this quest, with seeing firsthand how important this organisation is to not only individuals but families and the community.

I, myself am lucky that I have been able to attend events that have been held by Mentally Fit EP and can see an outcome in various people whether they be 16 or 60.

Mentally Fit EP have provided such great support to those who have been affected by mental wellness. They continue to grow with programs and their portfolio within the community that I hope all would support for years to come.

Mental wellness is not something that comes up in a day to day conversation, but hopefully in the near future it won’t be such a hard topic for people to talk about. We now live in a society where mental illness awareness is at its highest and we have organisations like Mentally Fit EP to thank for that.

I am looking forward to the journey over the next 6 months with having great support shown and to be able to fundraise for such a great organisation. Thank you for giving me this opportunity!
