Ivanka Beytell

My name is Ivanka Beytell and I am 19 years old. Our family migrated to Australia from South Africa in 2006. We eventually settled in Whyalla but I relocated to Port Lincoln in December 2016 to continue my apprenticeship in hairdressing.

I am currently employed by La Mode Hairstylists where I am lucky enough to work in a job I love. Hairdressing is my passion and I enjoy tapping into my creative side.

I registered as a quest entrant to meet people and hopefully form some long blasting friendships. It is also an opportunity for me to learn valuable information about my new home and assist me in growth and personal development.

My chosen fundraising beneficiary is Port Lincoln Tunarama Incorporated. I read in our local newspaper they need more funding to assist with the staging of this annual event. Listening to many residents, Tunarama is a local icon which I feel needs to be supported. It is the longest running free family Festival raising money for local charities. This is something we all need to embrace and be proud of.

I know the next few months will be very hectic fundraising but I am excited and relishing the challenge.

Thank you.
