Lauren Graetz

My name is Lauren Graetz and I am representing Bear Express.  My chosen non-profit organization is The Port Lincoln Calisthenics Club.  I chose to be in the Quest not only to promote and assist the Port Lincoln Calisthenics Club but also to assist in promoting the City of Port Lincoln and the Tunarama 2011 “50th year anniversary.”

I was born in Whyalla 1989, the place of my early development at school and calisthenics.  During 1999 my family accepted the opportunity to commence a new and exciting life in the beautiful city of Port Lincoln.  This relocation presented the family with new challenges and the opportunity in meeting new people and developing new friendships.

My involvement with calisthenics commenced in Whyalla during 1997, at the innocent age of 8 years. Calisthenics has assisted me to develop skills in such disciplines as, deportment, music appreciation, flexibility and physical fitness, team work, communications and leadership, along with having fun at the same time. My passion for calisthenics continued to blossom and now at the tender age of 21 years I compete as a team, individual and I have stepped up to become a coach in which I develop routines, select music and teach young ladies at various ages.

The Port Lincoln Calisthenics Club has existed for more than 30 years, without any grants or government financial help, so the goal I wish to achieve, is to provide some financial assistance to enable the Port Lincoln Calisthenics Club to acquire and relocate to new premises.

I am looking forward to the exciting journey ahead.
