Lauren Hazell

My name is Lauren Hazell, I am 30 years old and have two beautiful children. My daughter Sasha who is 9 and a son Callum who is 7.

I have spent most of my life on the beautiful Eyre Peninsula growing up with my mother and 5 siblings around Wangary, Coffin Bay and Port Lincoln.

I have also spent most of my working days in hospitality with attendance to two south Australian tourism awards nights in Adelaide whilst working at 1802 in Coffin Bay.

My cousin Ange came up with the idea of “Miss Tunarama” At first I was unsure I was going to be able to commit my undivided attention to such a role due to being a single mother and holding a casual position working at del Giornos. But after much thought, not only did I want to show my children that you can achieve any goal you set your mind to, I also wanted to find out more about myself and create a more positive path in life for our future.

With this determination I have chosen my charity to be about children and picked Variety SA the children’s charity. I will be raising money for those disadvantaged, sick and special needs children giving them every opportunity to pursue their dreams. Variety’s work allows families to gain mobility, get out and about in the community and achieve independence and increase their self esteem.
Raising money with the Runaway Brides is an honour and a privilege.

Angela Hersey had a vision and she wanted to sponsor me with her new thriving business Finesse Finance situated at Jobomi House Liverpool
Street Port Lincoln. Together we are focused to execute all of our events and activities with nothing but Finesse

Already, I am extremely grateful and overwhelmed with the support and assistance being offered by local businesses and locals of our beautiful community.

The next 6 months we have a great deal of work to do, I am only too happy to pull up my sleeves and represent our beautiful city of Port Lincoln
