Lisa Jones

Hi I am Miss Complete Personnel, my name is Lisa Jones and I am 24 years old.

It is an honour to be a part of the 50th Tunarama Festival.

Riding for Disabled is my chosen charity.  It is a non for profit organisation providing horse riding for children with a range of disabilities.  As well as being an enjoyable activity, horse riding offers therapeutic benefits for kids with physical disabilities.

During my time as one of the ten Tunarama entrants, I plan to bring a new awareness to this foundation, and I want the community to recognise the hard work, passion and love that these volunteers put in.  Each child deserves a chance to develop with confidence, having the same opportunities as any other children their own age.  I myself have worked with children who are disadvantaged and there is nothing more heart-warming than to watch a child develop from being timid and shy; to brimming with life and full of confidence.

I work fulltime for Complete Personnel.  My role as an employment advisor takes me on a journey in helping people and youth.  I am assisting people to find employment, giving them a sense of purpose and belonging; I feel this is invaluable in developing my skills in helping the community.

Entering the Tunarama Ambassador Quest, I want to develop my confidence, make my ties stronger in Port Lincoln, but most of all, have a bit of fun while raising money for a worthy cause.  I hope to gain positive experiences, meet new people and contribute to the community.  I wish each entrant all the best and good luck!
